

Inna Herlina grew up in Jakarta but lives in Germany since 1992. She earned a BA in Area Studies Asia-Africa with a focus on South East Asia and an MA in Religion and Culture at Humboldt University, Berlin. She has worked as a freelance journalist and editor. She was also co-author of “Indonesien in Berlin”, an information magazine published by the Senate of Berlin for Integration & Migration. Furthermore she has worked as a freelance translator, author and lecturer for Indonesian and German language projects with several colleges and other institutions. She is co- author of the publication “Andere Wiese, andere Grashüpfer … oder Andere Länder, andere Sitten“, German-Indonesian proverbs and idioms in comparison. She is the founder of the Indonesian-German business services Indokultur Consulting and she conducts Indonesian/German languages courses and translates German to Indonesia and vice versa.
