Pitchings

Each pitching session aims at connecting key partners of translation projects: German publishers, publishers in the region Asia-Pacific – and translators.

Pitching Information

Pitching Sessions

While China is one of the most important markets for selling rights of German language literary titles, there is a lot of untapped potential in South and South East Asia. Only few publishing houses in that region feature the necessary knowledge/demand of the German language in order to decide on which titles to buy and publish, a great amount of titles are available, it is not easy to get and keep an overview.

In our monthly digital Exchange Forums for translators who translate from the German language into the languages of South East Asia and Asia Pacific, we aim to provide a space for exchange, networking and learning. In our pitching sessions we want to introduce to the translators and editors of publishing houses in the Asia Pacific region fiction as well as non-fiction titles from the German language market that might be interesting for these markets.

We also offer pitchings of exciting literary titles from the region Asia-Pacific - presented by translators into German.

We look forward to your participation!

Pitching sessions of German language titles will be conducted in English.
