

Tiya Hapitiawati is a literary translator from German language into Indonesian language. She graduated from Universitas Indonesia with a bachelor degree in Humanities, majoring German Studies, and with a masters degree in Linguistics.
She has translated several German classical and contemporary literary works into Indonesian language. Apart from translating classical and contemporary works from German authors, she is also editor of Moooi Pustaka Publisher, a publishing firm based in Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In 2022, she was invited by Literarisches Colloquium Berlin to participate in Sommerakademie. Tiya was also selected to be part of Frankfurt International Translators 2023, an exclusive programme held by Frankfurter Buchmesse addressed to international literary and non-fiction translators from German language, and was one of the panelists at Annual Conference of European and International Booksellers Federation 2023.
