About the Book:
Twelve-year-old Finn lives with his parents in the second half of the 21st century. Nature has reclaimed the world after an imminent collapse; the cities are overgrown and mostly abandoned. The (few!) remaining people live in precarious but stubbornly optimistic peace with nature which will overgrow any path you just cleared again within hours. The most important rule in this world is: Never go into the forest after nightfall. There, the mysterious Moonwalker is lurking, and it takes with it anyone who breaks the rules by being outside at night. According to legend, it brings people to its lair and puts them into an everlasting sleep.
When Finn was six years old, he followed a butterfly deep into the forest and was surprised by nightfall there. His older sister Hannah managed to find and hide him, thus saving him from the Moonwalker. But since then, Hannah has been lost without a trace.
