Sarah Hemens, Project Director, New Books in German, has developed and managed the New Books in German project for the last three and a half years. Sarah has had a long career in the charity sector at senior management and Board level. Prior to NBG, Sarah worked in grant writing and communications for a human rights legal NGO, raising funds from institutional and governmental donors in Europe, the United States, and Africa. She has also managed a range of online and hard-copy publications. Sarah has experience as a reader for a literary agent in London.
Sarah holds an MA (Hons) in German from the University of Edinburgh and a Certificate in International Human Rights Law and Practice from the London School of Economics. She lives with her family in London.
