Jürgen Jakob Becker is managing director of the Deutscher Übersetzerfonds (DÜF) and deputy head of the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin (LCB) and is responsible in particular for funding and event programs for literary translators. He also heads the Summer Academy and the International Translators’ Meetings (Internationale Übersetzertreffen at the LCB) and is one of the co-founders of the TOLEDO program under the umbrella of the Deutscher Übersetzerfonds. He is co-editor of "Zaitenklänge. Geschichten aus der Geschichte der Übersetzung", Matthes & Seitz Berlin 2018.
